Stress and Fear

Fear is an unavoidable consequence of grief. There is no magic pill to make it disappear. Having the courage to confront what frightens you is a bit like turning on the lights at night and finding there is no monster lurking menacingly under your bed. You won’t have all the answers, not right away, and maybe not ever, but confronting the fear head-on provides perspective. Just verbalizing what it is that keeps you up at night and then seeking advice and help from others who’ve been on a similar journey, can give you the strength you need to push past the fear.
