Gifts and Evolutions

For years after Steve died I would have scornfully laughed at anyone who might have suggested that I would find anything remotely beneficial about his loss. But with time comes perspective. Reflection and meditation have helped me appreciate countless examples of how losing my life partner impacted me and our family in positive ways. Those gifts, as I call them, might not have become as apparent had we grown old together, all of us. Love didn’t end with Steve’s death. The legacy of that love endures.
