In the throes of loss, our sense of perspective and our ability to cope with even the most basic aspects of life can get so muddled that it’s hard to know where to turn.
Listen to the advice of others. Seek outside help.
Don’t let any perceived or imagined stigmas about psychological or emotional treatment stand in your way. Your loss is an attack on your mental health and well-being, and it deserves as much attention as any physical ailment.
Accepting that is a major step in owning the grief and not letting its destructive powers prevail over you or, by extension, your family.
